Easter in Berkeley

Yesterday we went to an egg hunt at a nearby park. I was amused by their effort to not use the word Easter:

Spring Egg Hunt Extravaganza II
at Willard Park, Berkeley, CA

This family event will feature egg hunts for 1-7 year olds and a treasure hunt for 8-10 year olds. There will also be a petting zoo, a visit with the Spring Bunny, arts & crafts, and a kid's carnival with prizes, Participants will receive a basket to collect all their spring goodies in.

I actually believe in religiously neutral events that don't exclude non-Christians, but this one was pretty thinly veiled.

At any rate, it was a great time.

LOL. I love it. Especially because I truly feel for anyone here in the south who isn't of the Christian persuasion. Because everything is EASTER. :) Looks like a fun time was had by all.

When are you going to leave that pagan place and move to the Bible Belt?

Hey! I like the glasses, Adam- just giving the contacts a rest, or decided to be cool? such a fun day, and, as always, the kids look so grown. Lafe really needs to slow down. Looking forward to July!
